Adventure in Dairyland - Pages 7 and 8
The picture at left shows the three of them
keeping watch over the calf. It turned out the calf had a tummy-ache. Calves can easily
get sick during their first few months, so they are as carefully fed and watched over as a
newborn baby. |
Linda and Sammy, at right, after all the
excitement was over. Mr. McCandless backed the tractor out of the barn and told Sammy to
climb aboard again, but Sammy wanted no part of the drivers seat so Linda sat there. |
On the right is Sammy. He wanted his
picture taken on a tractor. The motor was running and he accidentally bumped a lever. . .
Zoom! Crash! I shouldnt tattle, but he ploughed right through the barn doors.
Luckily, he wasnt hurt.

At left is Romeo, the McCandless prize
bull. Hes like a big bundle of dynamite, and just as dangerous. Luckily,
theres a way to control a bull - by a stout chain attached to the ring in its
sensitive nose. |
